Carrick U16 Girl hosted Greenock on Remembrance Sunday in a fast-paced National League encounter that kept spectators gripped from start to finish.
Carrick started strongly, crossing the line twice in the early stages to take a well-earned lead. However, Greenock regrouped quickly, showing great resilience to level the score before edging ahead with some dynamic attacking play. The second half continued in the same competitive spirit, with both sides displaying solid structure, discipline, and well-organised formations. Carrick pushed hard to regain control, finding momentum midway through the half, but despite their efforts, Greenock held firm to secure a hard-fought victory.
It was a great spectacle for supporters, showcasing the skill, teamwork, and commitment of both squads. Izzy was deservedly awarded both Players' Player and Coach's Player of the Match for her all-round contribution and effort.
